Gorgeous colors! You are so talented at putting complementary palettes together. May I ask - between the Holbein and Turner acrylic gouache, do you feel like there is any difference in quality? Or is there one you generally like better? Where I am it’s much easier to find the Holbein.
Thanks so much, Caroline. Putting together colour palettes is honestly one of my favourite things to do! One thing I've noticed about the Turner v Holbein acrylic gouache is that the pigment seems much more likely to separate from the binder in the Turner tubes. The Holbein rarely does this. It can be easily solved by stirring in the tube with a little wooden cocktail stick or something similar, but it is a bit annoying! Other than that, quality-wise they seem very similar and I enjoy using both.
Did you use the coral red straight from the tube on this painting? On my screen it doesn’t look as bright as it does in the other photos. 😊 Beautiful painting Natasha!x
I did! I used it for the little dots/dashes on some of the trees. It doesn't look quite as bright when it's used in small amounts on top of another colour. Thanks Jess! x
I love these colours and your treetops Natasha! ☺️
Thanks Margaux! 🖤
I love this Natasha! There's nothing like a new, colourful palette.
Thanks Marloes!
Gorgeous colours! Love the Raw & Burnt Sienna <3
Thanks Andreea!
